Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman has said that a high level of cooperation and synergy exists among armed forces and through our synergistic efforts we achieved remarkable success in war against terrorism. This he said while addressing the convocation ceremony of 30th Air War Course held at PAF Air War College, Karachi. He said that Pakistan Air Force has accepted every challenge and demonstrated remarkable heights of professional excellence.
Pakistan opens Kharlachi crossing with Afghanistan
Pakistan opened Kharlachi Crossing with Afghanistan in Kurram Agency on Saturday. According to Foreign Office Spokesperson, the decision reflects Pakistan's continued efforts to facilitate Afghan transit and trade through Pakistan. He said that this is not a pedestrians crossing, but is meant for facilitation of trade and transit vehicles.
Dar invites Saudi investors to invest in Pakistan
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has invited Saudi investors to take advantage from opportunities and incentives being provided by Pakistan to foreign investors. He was talking to Saudi Ambassador designate to Pakistan, Commodore Nawaf Saeed Ahmed Al-Malkiy, who called on him in Islamabad on Saturday. During the meeting, matters pertaining to bilateral relations and cooperation in different fields came under discussion.
ECC decides to extend export period of wheat till August 31
Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has decided to extend the export period of wheat and wheat products till 31st August this year. The committee made the decision at its meeting in Islamabad on Saturday with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair. Only those wheat exporters, who have already shifted wheat from go-downs of food departments prior to 15th March this year will be allowed to benefit from this extension.
PR to run five special trains on Eid ul Fitr to facilitate passengers
Pakistan Railways has decided to run five special trains to facilitate passengers on the eve of Eid ul Fitr. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique in Lahore. The meeting decided that additional coaches will also be attached with regular trains to cope up with rush of the passengers. The Minister directed Railway Officers and Staff to work round the clock to make the Eid operations successful.
First round of Brexit talks to begin in Brussels on Monday
The first round of formal Brexit negotiations will begin in Brussels on Monday. An announcement to this effect was made after a meeting between Brexit Secretary David Davis and European Union Chief negotiator Michel Barnier in Brussels. The negotiations will focus on matters pertaining to citizens' rights, the financial settlement, the Northern Irish border and other separation issues.
