Pakistan Army has warned of more strong and effective measures in case of any deliberate attempt to target Pakistani side of LoC by Indian troops. Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Pakistan Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza warns his Indian counterpart during his weekly hotline contact. The Director General notifies Pakistan’s demarche to his Indian counterpart to protest deliberate targeting of Pakistan Army’s vehicle, resulting in martyrdom of four soldiers and injuring one soldier and a civilian passerby.

Brig. Retd. Haris Nawaz (Defence Analyst):

A hotline between DGMO’s has been established to make contact in times of emergency. Pakistan has made serious protest on recent LoC violation by Indian forces. Pakistan does not want bilateral tensions to escalate. Pakistan wants that bilateral issues should not affect movement in Kashmir. Our armed forces have always given matching response to Indian aggression. India does not differentiate between armed forces and civilians. Pakistan should tell regional countries that Kashmir is a nuclear flash point and it can impact the entire region. Pakistan has always urged for composite dialogue with India.

Sharif Family counsel rejects JIT report contents, compiling procedure: Daniyal

Leader PML-N, Daniyal Aziz says counsel for Sharif Family Khawaja Haris has categorically rejected in the Supreme Court, the contents and procedure adopted by JIT in compiling the report. The counsel has also requested the SC that nothing should be against the law, and accordingly the JIT report should be rejected and the case against Sharif Family be dismissed. Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court after adjournment of the case, Daniyal Aziz says nothing happened during today’s hearing. There should be end to selective justice.

Mian Abdul Manan (Leader, PML-N):

The JIT report is nothing more than a fictitious and concocted imaginary story. It has produced false evidences against the elected Prime Minister of Pakistan. International forces want to stop Prime Minister from developmental projects in Pakistan. The Prime Minister wants to revolutionize Pakistan’s economy through CPEC. The people of Pakistan do not like this entire process of accountability. They love and support developmental projects like CPEC, motorways and energy projects in Pakistan.
