Monsoon rains intermittently lashing parts of country

Monsoon rains are intermittently lashing Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper parts of Punjab, including Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the present spell of monsoon will persist during the next three to five days.
It forecast that the rain will further increase in the next twenty-four hours.
In Lahore, the rainfall was recorded at 120 millimeter and Rawalpindi 110 millimeters.
