Power transmission system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to be revamped: Asif
Minister for Water says five grid stations to be upgraded to ensure smooth supply
Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif says the government has decided to upgrade and improve power transmission system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He held out this assurance at a high level meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak in Peshawar.
The Chief Minister demanded of the federal government to upgrade five 220-KV grid stations to ensure smooth and uninterrupted power supply.
A four-member committee was constituted to review the existing problems and find out solutions.
Later, talking to media, Khawaja Asif said federal government was well aware of problems being faced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and would hold second round of talk after Eid to address the issues.
He said federal government would soon pay all outstanding dues and arrears of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
