One terrorist killed in Lahore Police operation
One police personnel also martyred in an exchange of fire.
In Lahore, the police operation against the terrorists, in a compound at the Raiwind area has been completed.
Briefing newsmen about the operation, Punjab Minister for Anti-Terrorism, Shujah Khanzada said one terrorist was killed while another nabbed in severely injured condition.
The Provincial Minister said heavy automatic arms, hand grenades and suicide jackets have been recovered from the compound.
One police personnel was also martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists.
In his message, the Prime Minister said Lahore Police courageously entered the hideouts of terrorists and eliminated them. He said today's successful operation is testimony of use of effective secrete information.
Nawaz Sharif further said Pakistan can succeed against terrorism only by utilising information in effective way and coordinated efforts.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has announced compensation of ten million rupees for the family of Shaheed police personnel Sabir Hussain and one million rupees each for the families of injured personnel.
He said Sabir Hussain sacrificed his life for the future of the nation and the whole nation is proud of him.
