More rains expected on Thursday
Strong monsoon currents from Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal are entering upper parts of country.
Rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places in Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 12 hours.
Rain may also occur at isolated places in Lower Sindh. Heavy rain is likely to take place in some places of Kashmir, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha and Lahore divisions.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), well-marked seasonal low lies over north Balochistan & its trough is extending northeastwards. Yesterday’s monsoon low over Orissa has moved Northwestwards and today (Thursday) lies over Northeast Madhya Pradesh. Strong monsoon currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are penetrating into upper parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to approach upper parts of the country on Thursday.
