IDPs Support Secretariat set up to provide relief to IDPs
Secretariat will not only provide relief to the IDPs but also arrange their safe return to homes.
Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Major General Saeed Aleem says the government has set up IDPs Support Secretariat to provide relief to the internally displaced persons.
In an interview with our Bannu correspondent Aftab Sherazi, he said the secretariat will not only provide relief to the IDPs but also arrange their safe return to homes.
To a question, the NDMA Chairman said they have constituted special teams in collaboration with PDMA and FDMA to carry out relief activities in Bannu, D.I. Khan and Peshawar regions.
He said over three fifty-eight hundred thousand million rupees have so far been disbursed among thirty thousand IDP families.
General Saeed Aleem said special medical teams have dispatched to the concerns areas to check spread of any epidemics.
He said the government and the armed forces are trying their best to conclude the operation Zarb-e-Azb as earlier possible, enabling the IDPs to go back their homes.
