Former Indian Finance Minister P Chidambaram has said that the Kashmir dispute needs a political solution.
In an interview in New Delhi, he said that the approach of BJP government as well as the PDP-BJP regime in occupied Kashmir is wrong and if the government persists in its present approach it will lead only to more conflict and more violence.
P Chidambaram said ruling establishment under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is violating individual and human rights and intimidating independent think tanks.
The Congress leader said that the sub-continental ties are at their lowest point.
