42 suspects arrested in Islamabad
Arm and ammunition was recovered from their possession.
Security has been beefed up in Rawalpindi and Islamabad following the recent wave of terrorist acts in different parts of the country.
According to police officials, patrolling has been enhanced on important roads besides increase in deployment of personnel at all entry and exit points, mosques and commercial centers.
Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) carried out search operations in suburban areas of Islamabad on Friday.
Forty-two suspected people, including twelve Afghans, were arrested during the operations.
Arm and ammunition was also recovered from their possession.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has directed to further strengthen security at holy shrines in Islamabad instead of closing them.
