Martyrs are real heroes of Kashmiris: Yasin Malik

 In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that Kashmiri martyrs are the real heroes of Kashmiris and they will not allow their sacrifices to go waste. Muhammad Yasin Malik said this while addressing a mammoth public rally in Bogam area of Kulgam today. Thousands of participants of the rally raised high-pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. To avoid arrest, the JKLF chief had reached Islamabad last night and visited the families of many martyrs and expressed solidarity with their families.

‘UK parliament likely to debate Kashmir next month’

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement, Europe, Raja Najabat Hussain has said that a debate on the Kashmir dispute in the British Parliament is expected in January, next year. Raja Najabat Hussain in a statement issued from London said that the Chairman of All-Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir at the British Parliament (APPG), David Nuttall, MP, had submitted an application for full debate on the Kashmir dispute in the main chamber of House of Commons.  He hoped to have the debate in January.

Continued illegal house detention of Gilani condemned

 In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the continued house detention of its Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, describing it as the frustration of the puppet authorities and the worst kind of human rights violation. The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar denounced the authorities for not allowing Syed Ali Gilani to offer Juma prayers and termed the action as interference in his religious affairs.

Concern raised over use of force, pellet guns on protesters in IOK

A Delhi-based civil society group has expressed serious concern over the use of brute force including the pellet guns by Indian forces on peaceful protesters in occupied Kashmir. A team of the group, the Concerned Citizens’ Collective Committee, which recently visited the occupied territory, in a joint statement issued in New Delhi said that the high proportion of injuries on the face and above the waist demonstrated that there was official intention to shower hundreds of pellets on the protesting people, not to disperse but to kill or permanently disable them.
