Three-day mourning being observed in Punjab
One day mourning observed in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir.
Three day official mourning is being observed in Punjab starting from Monday (17 August) over the martyrdom of Home Minister Retired Col. Shuja Khanzada .
National Flag is flying at half-mast on all buildings.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, mourning day was also observed on Monday over causalities in Attock suicide attack.
National and state flags remained at half-mast throughout the state.
At a prayer ceremony in Muzaffarabad Fateha was offered for martyrs.
Talking to newsmen in Rawalakot, AJK Information Minister Sardar Abid Hussain Abid said Home Minister Punjab Shuja Khanzada and others have offered supreme sacrifice for the security and integrity of the motherland.
He said people and government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir stand with armed forces and other security institutions to defeat the terrorists.
Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Monday unanimously passed a resolution condemning terrorist attack in Attock which resulted in martyrdom of Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada .
The resolution lauded the services of Shuja Khanzada in the war against terror.
Members of the assembly reaffirmed their commitment to stand shoulder to shoulder with security forces to eliminate terrorism from the country.
Earlier, the House also offered Fateha for the departed souls.
