Strategy to be evolved to deal with prevailing situation: Pervaiz
Information Minister says PTI and PAT have pushed themselves in a blind alley.
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that the democratic forces are engaged in consultation and a joint strategy would be evolved to deal with the prevailing situation.
Speaking in Radio Pakistan's Current Affairs programme, he said political parties having three hundred and seven of three hundred and forty-two National Assembly seats are against any undemocratic, unconstitutional and illegal step.
Pervaiz Rashid said there is no representation Sindh and Balochistan in the Tehreek-e Insaf gathering while representation of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is just symbolic.
Replying to a question, Pervaiz Rashid said both PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek have pushed themselves in a blind alley and it is effort of the Government and political parties to provide them an honorable safe exit.
To another question, the Information Minister said the Minister said the Prime Minister has already fulfilled two demands of Imran Khan as an electoral reforms committee has been established and the Supreme Court has been asked to form a three-member commission for the purpose.
He said both PTI and PAT had given firm guarantees through some political parties that they would confine themselves to the designated places and would not try to enter red zone of the federal capital but now these parties are hurling threats to enter red zone and occupy important buildings.
The Information Minister said such threats are very serious as entry of mob into red zone would means tarnishing the country's image in the comity of nations.
