Govt respects political, democratic rights of masses
Interior Minister says no one to be allowed to breach security of red zone in Islamabad.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has categorically made it clear that the government will not intervene in any political or democratic activities in the country.
Talking to media in Islamabad, he said that both the PTI and PAT applied for holding rallies in Islamabad which is proof of sense of their responsibility. He said that both the parties agreed in principle that they will not enter in the Red Zone.
He said that additional enforcement was summoned from Azad Kashmir to avoid the happening of any untoward incident.
The Minister praised the security agencies for providing the required security to the participants of the marches.
The Interior Minister said that according to the intelligence reports two suicide bombers have entered the city. He said that the administration has laid a security cordon around the rallies and have asked the organizers of the rallies for extending cooperation with the security agencies.
The Interior Minister said that all important buildings and embassies are in the Red Zone and no one will be allowed to cross the Red Zone. He said the Red Zone is actually Red Line that should not be crossed at any cost.
He said that the nation is engaged in operation against the terrorist in North Waziristan but the marcher did not pay any heed towards this or the Internally Displaced Persons.
He said that the armed forces are waging biggest war in the history of the country against the terrorists. He also hailed the sacrifices of the IDPs.
To a question, he said that the administration will try its level best to remove the difficulties of the twin cities and keep the traffic plying as per routine.
