Sindh Assembly on Friday unanimously passed the Sindh Security of Vulnerable Establishment Bill-2015.

Under the Bill, special security will be provided to all the sensitive installations and public buildings including educational institutions.

Walk through gate and CCTV cameras will also be installed around the sensitive buildings.

The House also passed a resolution unanimously against opening of Chashma-Jhelum Link Canal. Members of the House recorded their strong protest on the act.

A large number of Assembly Members took part in the discussion on the resolution and criticized Punjab Government on taking a one sided decision of opening the canal.

The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs said the opening of canal is absolutely damaging to the people of Sindh. MPAs pointed out that Sindh has been facing this problem since long and voice has also been raised against it on every forum but the issue has not yet been resolved.

The House has now been adjourned to meet again on 27th of this month at 10 a.m.
