Relief camps established for Neelum Valley flood affected families

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Government has set up relief camps for the victims of Neelum Valley flash flood where Pakistan Army and all the state agencies are providing relief to them.

According to State Disaster Management Authority, relief packages including essential food items have been distributed among 150 families.

The state government has also constituted a committee to prepare a feasibility report for full rehabilitation of the victims and reconstruction of the damaged infrastructure.

Meanwhile, rescue and relief operation by National Disaster Management Authority is underway in flash flood affected areas in Neelam Valley of Azad Kashmir. According to member operations of NDMA Brigadier Mukhtar Ahmed, 2100 Kilogram ration will be provided to the victims of the incident. He said that 21 kg ration which includes 10 kg flour, 2kg rice, 2 kg sugar and other necessary food items will be provided to each affected family. He said that these items are being transferred to Lesswa AJK.  

The Spokesperson of NDMA in a statement said 500 tents, 800 blankets and 100 packets of ration have been shifted so far to State Disaster Management Authority.
