Rs 56 mln being spent in farming sector of GB

In Ghizar, government is spending fifty-six million rupees in the farming sector to alleviate poverty in the area.

This was stated by the Deputy Director Agriculture Ghizer Raja Muzafar Wali Khan in an interview with our Gilgit correspondent.

He said under the project seven hundred twenty-six model orchids have been setup in the District and about forty thousand plants have been distributed among the farmers.

He said twenty-eight plastic tunnels have been established besides four nurseries in private framers fields.

Deputy Director said the department has organized thirty trainings on advance commercial agriculture, organic, food processing and post harvesting technology and one thousand eight hundred members were trained.
