Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has stressed the need for internal stability in order to face external challenges. 

Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Saturday, he said internal stability has a critical role in any country's development process.

The Minister said that peace has been restored in Karachi and Balochistan due to prudent policies of the government.

He said that today's Pakistan is more secure, peaceful, and economically stable as compared to the past and incidents of terrorism have declined by eighty to ninety percent as compared to 2013.           

The Minister said the ambits of state institutions are clearly defined in the Constitution and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has full respect for the judiciary.

He said under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif ,Pakistan has made visible progress as motorways are being constructed, electricity loadshedding is being overcome, terrorism eliminated and foreign reserves doubled in four years.

Ahsan Iqbal said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is underway and during the current fiscal year, high domestic tourism has witnessed in the country.
