Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal says Pakistan became an unprecedented story of success during the last four years due to upward trajectory in diverse fields. Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Saturday, he said incidents of terror have reduced by eighty to ninety percent as compared to 2013 and peace has been restored in the length and breadth of the country. The Interior Minister said a star studded world eleven Independence Cup tournament imparted a positive and soft image of the country at international level.

Saudi Arabia's Assistant Minister for Defence Mohammad Abdullah Alayeesh visited Naval Headquarters Islamabad on Saturday. Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the visiting dignitary was received by Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy presented him Guard of Honour. Later, during his meeting with Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, matters of mutual interest came under discussion.  The Naval Chief highlighted Pakistan’s performance in fight against terrorism including participation of Pakistan Navy in Coalition Maritime Campaign Plan and Counter Piracy Operations. The Saudi Minister lauded Pakistan Navy’s role and focused commitment in support of maritime security for peace and stability in the region.
