NAP has helped improve law, order situation: CM GB
Hafeez-ur-Rehman says over six hundred and fifty thousand tourists visited Gilgit-Baltistan during last one year.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister, Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman says National Action Plan has helped improve law and order situation in the region significantly.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, he said improved law and order has put the region on the track of development and progress.
He said more than six hundred and fifty thousand tourists visited Gilgit-Baltistan during the last one year. The number is the highest in the last thirty years.
The chief minister said road network will be expanded to reduce reliance on Karakorum Highway. The road projects will cost some eighty-two billion rupees.
The Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for providing funds for the infrastructural development of the region.
He said the Gilgit-Baltistan government is planning to set up local board of investment to attract domestic and foreign investors to exploit huge hydel and mineral resources.
