Death anniversary of Liaquat Ali Khan observed
The first Prime Minister of Pakistan was close confidante of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.
The death anniversary of the first Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaheed-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan was observed in the country with great reverence today.
He was assassinated on this day in 1951 during a public meeting in Rawalpindi.
To mark the day, Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani was held at his Mazar in Karachi this morning.
A special program was also held in Islamabad to pay rich tributes to Liaquat Ali Khan for his role during the Pakistan Movement for liberation from India.
The death anniversary of the founder of Muslim League Nawab Mohsin-ul-Mulk was also observed today.
