The focus of the Forum will be to highlight business opportunities emerging from the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR C.Y. Leung will also address the forum.

Speaking in a debate on Sexual Violence in Conflict, in the UN Security Council, Pakistan's permanent representative, Maleeha Lodhi, said several state and non-state actors have employed sexual abuse as a deliberate policy to suppress entire populations. She said we see such grave situation in occupied Kashmir where Indian forces are attempting to crush a resolute struggle by Kashmiris for their right to self-determination.

Merkel meets visiting French President Macron in Berlin – Both agree to deepen EU Integration

Germany and France have agreed to develop a medium-term roadmap to deepen European Union integration. The agreement came during a meeting between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron in Berlin. Both leaders also discussed measures to make the euro zone more resilient against crises.

North Korea's ballistic missile test - UNSC vows sanctions

The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned North Korea's latest ballistic missile test and demanded a halt to any further nuclear or missile tests. In a unanimous statement, the Council vowed to punish Pyongyang's "highly destabilizing behavior" by taking strong measures, including sanctions, to derail its nuclear weapons programme.

Afghan – Taliban battle - Government forces regain control of Qala-i-Zal district  in Kunduz province from Taliban

In a statement, Afghan Interior Ministry said security forces launched the operation early this morning and secured the district governor's office, police headquarters and other areas.
Meanwhile, two government employees were killed in rocket attack on the provincial capital Asadabad in Kunar province.
