He was talking to Communist Party Secretary of Chinese province of Zhejiang Che Jun in Hangzhou. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is the flagship project of Belt and Road Initiative.      

Pakistan offers bright prospects for e-commerce investment: PM

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited offices of Alibaba company in Zhejiang on Tuesday.   
In his remarks on the occasion, he said Pakistan is an emerging economy and the government is striving hard for prosperity of the people. The Prime Minister said as a result of policies pursued by the government since 2013, there is marked improvement in the economic conditions of the country.    

ECC approves Ramazan package of Rs1.6b

Under the approved package nineteen food items will be available at utility stores at subsidized rates. The Economic Coordination Committee has approved special package of 1.6 billion rupees for Utility Stores for the upcoming Ramazan. The approval came during meeting of the Committee headed by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Morgan Stanley Capital Int'l upgrades status of PSX

Morgan Stanley Capital International has upgraded the status of Pakistan Stock Exchange from Frontier Market to Emerging Market. According to a notification, the MSCI Pakistan Indexes will fully converge with the MSCI Provisional Pakistan Indexes, effective June 1, 2017. Pakistan has achieved the status after a gap of nine years.  

Solar power successful alternate for oil energy: Khaqan

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that solar power is a successful alternate for oil energy and it can solve the issue of fuel shortage. He was talking to news persons at the 15th Pakistan Oil and Gas Energy Exhibition in Karachi on Tuesday. The Minister said that government is making serious efforts to resolve issue of power shortage in the country and load-shedding will be controlled by the end of this year.
