UN envoy to Damascus says Syrian govt should not retaliate by dropping barrel bombs on populated areas in divided city.
In Syria , more than 30 people have been killed in rebel bombardment on Aleppo city.
The visiting UN envoy to Damascus, Staffan de Mistura while condemning attack said the shelling is an indiscriminate attack on civilians.
He appealed to the Syrian government that it should not retaliate by dropping barrel bombs on populated areas in the divided city.
The visiting UN envoy Staffan de Mistura held a meeting with the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus.
President Bashar al-Assad told De Mistura the world needed to recognize the threat of terrorism and prevent foreign states from arming insurgents.
