Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says the government is launching a mega project to connect Gwadar Port with the Central Asian States.

Speaking in the National Assembly today, he said Chaman-Kandahar-Mazar-e-Sharif-Tirmiz road will be developed for the purpose.

Besides, he said work on Peshawar-Torkham-Jalalabad motorway is also continuing. From Jalalabad, this road will be extended to Kabul-Mazar-e-Sharif and Tirmiz city of Uzbekistan.

Nawaz Sharif said all link roads from Gwadar to Quetta and Quetta to Chaman to connect them with the Central Asian City of Tirmiz linking four Central Asian states with Pakistan.

He said Quetta-Chaman route will be completed by the end of next year.

Prime Minister said the federal government is assisting the Sindh Government for completion of mega development projects in the province.

He said the government has earmarked five billion rupees for Green Line Transport System in Karachi. He said this mega project is likely to be completed at a cost of 20 to 25 billion rupees.

Nawaz Sharif said work on Hyderabad-Karachi Motorway has also been started and it will be completed by 2017.

He said we will complete the Hyderabad-Sukkur and Sukkur-Multan and Multan-Lahore sections of motorway in our tenure.
