Govt taking measures to develop tourism industry: Latif
Provincial Finance Minister says govt focusing on education, health, infrastructure, tourism.
AJK Finance Minister Ch. Latif Akbar said that next fiscal year budget is public friendly and would usher an era of economic progress and prosperity in the state.
Addressing the post budget News conference in Muzaffarabad‚ he said that government through focusing education, health, infrastructure, tourism and hydel power generations sectors is striving to create maximum employment opportunities in the state.
He said that AJK government through its own resources is generating 48 megawatt electricity while with the completion of Patrind hydel project 150 megawatt electricity would also be generated and added in the national grid in Azad Kashmir.
He said that Neelum-Jhelum, Kohalla and Gulpur Hydropower Projects would significantly reduce the looming energy crises would accelerate the development process in the country.
AJK Minister Finance said that state has great tourism potential and government is taking all possible measures to develop the tourism industry in Azad Kashmir.
Ch. Latif Akbar said that under the new educational policy of the government, 6000 employment opportunities would also be created in Azad Kashmir.
