Pakistan men's cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmed has signed for English county team Yorkshire for the Natwest T20 Blast. Sarfraz is set to replace Australia's Peter Handscomb who will be joining Australia's training camp ahead of their tour to Bangladesh. He is expected to play five matches in the league.

1st Semi-Final in ICC WWC: England to face South Africa on Tuesday

The 1st Semi-Final in the ICC Women's World Cup, match between England and South Africa Women will be played at Bristol on Tuesday. Earlier, Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by fifteen runs at Leicester on Saturday night.  Batting first Sri Lanka scored 221 runs in alloted overs while Pakistan's team were all out by scoring 206 runs in 46.4 overs.

Muguruza demolishes Venus to clinch maiden Wimbledon title

Garbine Muguruza stormed to her first Wimbledon title and shattered Venus Williams’ history bid with a majestic 7-5, 6-0 victory in Saturday’s final.  Muguruza overwhelmed Williams with a supreme display of power hitting in 77 minutes on Centre Court to become only the second Spanish woman to win Wimbledon.

Pakistan lose three matches to Egypt in Squash Series

Pakistan went 3-0 down in the Squash Series against Egypt played here at Mushaf Complex on Saturday. As many as three matches were played on the first day of the series. In the first match Egypt’s Zahed Mohamed beat Pakistan’s Waqar Mehboob by 11/9, 11/9, 11/8 while Egypt’s Omar Mossad beat Pakistan’s Ahsan Ayaz in the second match of the day by 11/8, 11/7,
12/10.

South Africa make inroads after Root dazzles

South Africa’s bowlers made good progress despite Joe Root’s sizzling 78 as England struggled to 184-6 to tea on the second day of the second Test on Saturday.  England were 151 runs behind South Africa’s first innings of 335, with just four wickets in hand, but would have been much further adrift if not for skipper Root’s flashing half-century.
