In a statement, he said public has given mandate to PML-N to serve the nation. He said a handful of political elements cannot take the nation hostage through non-democratic practices.

Minister for Defence Production and Science and Technology, Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that PML(N) has always given priority to the national interests. He was addressing a link-canal inauguration ceremony in Bangla Sukhanwali at Sheikhupura today. The Minister said PML-N does not believe in the politics of vengeance and anarchy.
China says no room for negotiations on Sikkim standoff with India
With no end in sight to the standoff in the Sikkim sector, China on Saturday said there is “no room” for negotiations to resolve the military face-off and the only solution is the withdrawal of Indian troops from the Donglang or Doklam region. India will face “embarrassment” if it does not withdraw its border troops to its own side and the situation could get “worse”, the official Xinhua news agency said in a commentary on Saturday night.
Darjeeling agitation will turn ‘terrible’: Bimal Gurung
The chief of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) Bimal Gurung has warned that the agitation for a separate state will turn ‘terrible’ as the indefinite strike called by the outfit entered its 32nd day on Sunday. GJM is spearheading the statehood agitation. “The agitation which has been going on for over one month will turn terrible and it will be a decisive battle for our independence,” Gurung told reporters Saturday night. “If I need to shed my blood I am ready to do that, but the fight will go on till Gorkhaland is achieved,” Gurung said.
Fire in eastern China kills 22, injures 3: Xinhua
At least 22 people were killed when a house in China's eastern Jiangsu province caught fire on Sunday, the official Xinhua news agency cited local authorities as saying. The fire broke out before dawn at a two-storey residential house in Yushan town in Changshu city, Xinhua said. Three were injured. The blaze has been put out, and investigation into the cause is under way, it said.
Thousands participate in funeral of 2 martyred youth in IoK
In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, including women and children participated in funeral prayers of two martyred youth in Tral and Pahoo areas of Pulwama district, today. Pro-freedom and anti-India slogans were raised on the occasion. Meanwhile, complete shutdown was observed in Tral, Pulwama, and adjacent areas against the killings. Mobile and internet services were also suspended in the district.
