In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has said that the Kashmir dispute is the main impediment to better relations between Pakistan and India.

In a statement in Srinagar, the APHC said the United States being an influential member of the international community could play a key role in resolving the Kashmir dispute. They also demanded inclusion of true Kashmiri leadership in the dialogue process between the two neighbouring countries.

Hurriyet leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said India and its local collaborators are targeting youth to weaken their pro-freedom sentiments.

Another APHC leader, Javed Ahmad Mir denounced the unabated use of pepper gas by Indian police on peaceful protestors in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley.
