Use of brute military might against innocent Kashmiris who refused to participate in the recent sham state elections cannot suppress their human urge of freedom: PM

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has called upon international community to play its role for a just resolution of the Kashmir issue according to the aspirations of Kashmiris.  In a solidarity message issued today, he said world community should play its role to stop human rights violations by Indian forces in held Kashmir.  The Prime Minister said brute force is being used against the innocent Kashmiris as they did not participate in the fake elections in Occupied Kashmir.

Analysts live on Phone:

Abdul Majeed Malik (Hurriyet Leader):

India has forcefully occupied Kashmir whereas Kashmiris have always rejected the illegal occupation of India on Kashmir. The turn-out in today’s election was very low and Kashmiris were forced to cast the votes on gun point. Indian forces have set the worst examples of brutalities and violations of human rights in Kashmir. United Nations is unable to resolve Kashmir dispute in accordance with its own resolution for the last 70 years. Pakistan has highlighted Kashmir dispute on all international forums in a very effective way. The day is not far when Kashmiris will get their right to self-determination.

Dr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan (IR Expert):

The silence of United Nations on long standing Kashmir dispute is beyond understandings. United Nations is responsible to promote international co-operation and ensure peace in the world. But the performance of United Nations over Kashmir dispute is a question mark as it is unable to take any measures to resolve Kashmir issue which is main cause of Indo-Pak tensions. India is violating human rights in Indian Held Kashmir and international community must take serious notice of it and force India to stop its brutalities in the valley.
