Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan says his country is ready to provide Libya any military support it needs after Ankara and Libya’s internationally recognized government signed a security deal.

Talking to a local TV channel in Istanbul, he said Turkey will protect its own rights along with Libya in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a meeting with the head of Libya's UN-recognized Government of National Accord Fayez al-Sarraj in Istanbul.
