The United States and Taliban have agreed to reduce operations in Afghanistan.

In a tweet, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad said recent rise in attacks is threatening the peace process and alarmed the Afghan people and their regional and international supporters.

He said agreement has also been reached to strictly adhere to the commitments made under the US-Taliban peace deal in March this year.

Zalmay Khalilzad said we will monitor the implementation actively and all parties must deliver on their responsibilities.
