The eighth death anniversary of renowned comedian and actor of stage, television and film industry, Ayub Akhtar, popularly known as Babu Baral was observed on Tuesday (April 16).

Babu Baral had begun his professional career as comedian from Gujranwala in 1982. After sometime, he started work at Open Air Theater in Bagh e Jinnah, Lahore.

Meanwhile, the 10th death anniversary of poet and noted educationist Prof. Pareshan Khattak is also being observed today.

He was awarded "Tamgha-e-Imtiaz" and "Sitara-e-Imtiaz" for his literary and national services.
