The Senate and National Assembly will resume their sessions at Parliament House in Islamabad on Monday after two days break.

The Senate will resume its session at four in the afternoon while National Assembly will meet at 5:00 p.m. Both the Houses will discuss important national issues besides carrying out legislative business.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is expected to give a policy statement on the issue of Panama Papers in the National Assembly.

He may announce some necessary steps to ensure transparent probe into the Panama Papers issue and offshore companies.

The Prime Minister has already presented himself and his family for accountability and announced formation of Judicial Commission on the demand of the Opposition.

The International Consortium of  Investigative Journalists had also acknowledged that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has no offshore company and his name was mistakenly included.

Both the treasury and opposition are expected to hold separate parliamentary meetings before the start of the sessions to discuss the agenda of the sessions.
