Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif says the provincial government is committed to ensure standard health facilities to the people.

He was chairing a high level meeting in Lahore on Sunday, in which progress on measures taken for the provision of healthcare facilities to people was reviewed.

The Chief Minister directed free medicines to all patients in the government run hospitals, especially in remote areas of the province.

Later, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif says the government is providing all possible facilities to the patients at urban and rural health centers of the province.

He was talking to a delegation of Young Doctors Association in Lahore on Sunday afternoon.

The Chief Minister said that provision of quality healthcare to public is national obligation of the government.

He urged doctor community to serve the ailing humanity with more dedication.

Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that several measures are being taken to make the medicines procurement process for government hospitals transparent.

The delegation apprised the Chief Minister about their problems.
