"Govt. making efforts to resolve energy crisis on top priority basis"

Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that incumbent government is committed to cope with energy crisis on top priority basis. Government will allocate substantial funds for power projects in the next fiscal year. All resources are being utilized to enhance power generation capacity and to get rid of load-shedding. Due to prudent policies of the government the duration of load shedding has been reduced to many fold as compared to previous years. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project will bring revolutionary change and usher in economic growth and prosperity in the country.

Analysts have appreciated the energy policies of the government in order to overcome load-shedding in the country. 

Jam Kamal (Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources): “It is the agenda of the present government to overcome energy crisis in the country at all costs. Prime Minister initiated many power projects on priority basis very after it came into power. There are many short and long term power projects that are underway through China Pakistan Economic Corridor. The government has signed many projects, including LNG and TAPI gas pipeline projects, as well to produce cheap electricity. Government is determined to add 10000MW electricity in the National Grid till 2018 that will result in elimination of load-shedding from the country. Neelum-Jhelum power project is near completion. The energy situation at the moment is far better.”
