Talking to media in Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says never before in the history of the country, three generations of a family were held accountable the way his family is being done. The present process of accountability has been extended to period beyond his birth. He expresses the confidence that the outcome of the ongoing inquiry would not be different as he and his family have done nothing wrong.

We are hopeful that Prime Minister and his family will be succeeded in getting clearance from JIT.

Pakistan, China making concerted efforts for restoring peace in Afghanistan: FO

During the weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakariya says longstanding conflicts in Afghanistan have given space to non-state actors. Pakistan believes that Afghan-owned and Afghan-led political settlement is imperative for restoring long-lasting peace in Afghanistan.

It is a good gesture that Foreign Office has issued a positive statement. Prime Minister during his visit to China met with Afghan President and both the leaders agreed to work together for a peaceful region. China canplay a vital role for restoring peace in Afghanistan. Peace in Kabul is in the best interest of Islamabad. Afghan government should not allow the Indian agencies to use its land for terrorist activities in Pakistan.
