Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said the improved security situation in the country has attracted a number of international companies and investors to explore business opportunities in Pakistan. He said this while chairing a meeting to review matters related to financial requirements of Pakistan Air Force in Islamabad.
Ishaq Dar assured the government will fulfill financial needs of armed forces to ensure country's security and defence. The Finance Minister praised PAF's instrumental role in the ongoing operations Zarb-e-Azb and Raddul Fasaad.

Railways Minister expresses concern over JIT report on panama leaks

Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has expressed reservations on the report submitted by JIT to the Supreme Court on Panama Leaks. Talking to the media in Islamabad today, he said the legal team of the party is examining the report and will present their stance before the apex court. The Minister said the politics of allegations is not serving the interests of the country. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants to take the country forward but Chairman PTI Imran Khan is creating hurdles in his way.

Pakistan holding negotiations with Turkey, Thailand, Iran to work out FTA

The government is focusing on modernizing trade mechanism to facilitate international and domestic trade and enhance export. This was stated by senior official of Ministry of Commerce while talking to APP in Islamabad. The official said we are working to search new trade avenues and markets in different regions of the world to get access to these markets for promotion of the country's trade.
He said the government is committed to diversification on internal trade for enhancing supply chains to enhance country's exports. The official said Free Trade Agreements with Turkey, Thailand and Iran are under negotiation phase and agreement would be finalized in this connection in coming months.

RAW operating from Afghanistan to create instability in Pakistan: CJCSC

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat has said Pakistan is fully aware of the designs of hostile agencies, especially RAW, against the country. Addressing the passing out parade of cadets at Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi on Saturday, he said Indian intelligence is operating from Afghanistan to stoke unrest and instability in the country and sabotage the multi-billion dollar China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
