United States has lauded the role of Pakistan in elimination of terrorism from the country.
In a telephonic conversation with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday, US National Security Advisor Lieutenant General Herbert Raymond McMaster said that Pakistan has played a vital role to ensure peace and stability in the country and region.
Pakistan has made significant efforts to confront terrorism and terrorist organizations on its own soil. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says Pakistan believed in a peaceful neighborhood and the government is keen to work with friends and partners for peace and stability of the region
Referring to the tremendous success of operation Zarb-e-Azb and encouraging results of the ongoing operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, he said these demonstrated our commitment to eradicate terrorism.
Meanwhile, Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif says the government is committed to weed out terrorism from the country with the support of nation. Addressing party workers in Sialkot, he said operation against terrorists would continue till the elimination of the last terrorist from the country.

Pakistan and India need to interact with each other to resolve bilateral disputes including Kashmir issue: Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security Nasser Khan Janjua

He was addressing members of Pakistan Institute of International Affairs on National Security Perspective in Pakistan in Karachi. The National Security Adviser was of the view that, “We can do everything through cooperation, but not by the way of competition.”
The acts of terrorism had visibly reduced across the country after launching of operations against terrorists. Meanwhile,Commander 10 Corps Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza visited troops deployed along Line of Control in Bagsar Sector.
Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza expressed his concern over continuous ceasefire violations by Indian troops targeting innocent civil population residing close to LOC. He lauded the high moral of deployed troops and unflinching resolve of civil population of the area.He urged for a befitting response to Indian unprovoked firing.

India stands totally exposed on the issue of terror financing and perpetrating subversive acts in Pakistan. India has been blowing the trumpet on the issue of terrorism since long but the fact is that the country's intelligence agency itself is involved in terrorism. He also referred to the incidents in occupied Kashmir as well as the one taken on the Indian soil including Samjhota Express. Kulbushan Yadav was an agent of RAW and serving officer of Indian Navy. The agent has been awarded death sentence after due judicial process. The United Nations and the US have expressed their desire to play a role for resolution of disputes between the two countries including that of Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan wants to further strengthen relations with the new US administration in order to take the bilateral relations to higher level.

Ayaz formed 33-member parliamentary committee on national security to discuss issues relating to national security

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, in consultation with the Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani, has constituted a thirty three-member Parliamentary Committee on National Security. The committee will work under Chairmanship of the Speaker National Assembly.
Terms of reference of the committee are:

“To discuss issues relating to national security of urgent nature, to periodically review, monitor and oversee implementation of the National Action Plan with a view to ensuring its expeditious implementation, to monitor the process of transition from military courts to civil courts through criminal justice reforms and to present periodical reports of the committee to both houses of the parliament.”
