Senate passes resolution mourning demise of Azam Khan Hoti
The House offered Fateha and was adjourned without transacting any business
The Senate was adjourned today without transacting any business in memory of late Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Hoti. Now the House will meet tomorrow at 10:15 am.
The House offered Fateha for the departed soul of late Muhammad Azam Khan Hoti.
The House also passed a resolution deeply mourning the death of late Senator Azam Khan Hoti.
The resolution was moved by Iqbal Zafar Jhagra.
The resolution appreciated the services of the late Senator Azam Khan Hoti for his party, nation and the country.
The House prayed that may Allah showered his blessings on the departed soul and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude.
Azam Khan Hoti was twice elected member of National Assembly and also served as Federal Minister. He remained Senator from 1994 to 1997 and from 2012 to date.
The Senators also paid rich tributes to late Senator Azam Hoti for his services. They said the death of Azam Hoti is great loss to the party. He had great love for the people of his area. They said he was a political worker who dedicated his whole life to the principles of his party.
Those who spoke included Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani, Minister for Housing Muhammad Akram Khan Durrani, Leader of the House Raja Zafarul Haq, Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi, Farhatullah Babar, Ahmad Hassan, Khushbakht Shujaat, Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah and Salahuddin Tirmizi.

President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Senator Azam Khan Hoti.
In his condolence message, he prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and grant the courage to bereaved family to bear this loss.
Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed and Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan also expressed grief over the demise of Senator Azam Khan Hoti.

ANP leader Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Hoti passed away in Mardan this morning after protracted illness. He was 69.
His funeral prayer will be held in Mardan at 4 pm today.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief over the demise of Senator Azam Khan Hoti. The Prime Minister appreciated the role of Azam Hoti for development of his area.
Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and Leader of the House in the Senate Raja Zafar ul Haq also expressed grief and sorrow over death of ANP leader and former Senator Azam Khan Hoti.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also condoled the sad demise of Azam Khan Hoti.
