Director General Radio Pakistan Syed Muhammad Imran Gardezi has said that steps are being taken to revive the past glory of the organization by capacity building of workers.

Speaking at farewell party hosted in honour of outgoing Director Finance, Ghulam Idrees Khan at Broadcasting House Islamabad today, he said decision has been taken to recruit new professionals on the basis of merit through NTS.   

The Director General said the incoming staff will be imparted quality training at Pakistan Broadcasting Academy enabling them to maintain the prestige of Radio Pakistan.   

Syed Imran Gardezi urged Radio professionals to work with dedication as people of the country hold their organization in high esteem.

Speaking on the occasion, Member National Assembly, Mian Najeebuddin Owaisi expressed the hope that Radio Pakistan will make progress under the new Director General.      

CBA Union General Secretary, Muhammad Ijaz assured that PBC workers will fully support the efforts to make the organization progressive and competitive.   

Outgoing Director Finance Fariq Idrees Director Administration Aurengzeb Harel and other officials who spoke on the occasion appreciated the step taken by the Director General for professional improvement and financial stability of Radio Pakistan.

Later, the outgoing Director Finance planted a sapling in the lawn of Radio Pakistan.
