Cooperation being extended to Britain in Dr. Imran Farooq murder case: Nisar
Interior Minister says arrest of central figure in the case is an important development.
Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan says cooperation is being extended to Britain in Dr. Imran Farooq murder case by remaining within the parameters of law and the constitution.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said they are extending cooperation according to international agreements.
Interior Minister said there is treaty with Britain regarding exchange of criminals.
He said Dr. Imran Farooq murder case is very sensitive and arrest of central figure in the case is an important development.
Chaudhary Nisar said performance of institutions of Pakistan in this regard is very important. He said the Government has decided that the case will be taken to its logical end keeping aside politics.
To a question, he said their no link between his meeting with British High Commissioners yesterday and MQM's chief Altaf Hussain appearance before the London Police in money laundering case. He said the meeting was already scheduled.
