In Afghanistan, Taliban have revoked their ban on the Red Cross and given a guarantee of security for its staff doing humanitarian work in areas under their control.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement today that all their fighters have been asked to pave the way for ICRC activities and be mindful of security to its workers and equipment.

Taliban imposed ban on the ICRC and WHO in April, accusing the organizations of carrying out suspicious activities during vaccination campaigns.
