Flash floods kill over 30 in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, more than thirty people were killed in flash floods caused by heavy rains in different areas of the country.

According to a spokesman for the Afghanistan Natural Disaster Management Authority, the flooding, hitting provinces mainly in the north and center of the country, caused serious damage to around 900 houses, killed hundreds of cattle and damaged agricultural land. (Reuters)
