Fifty-five thousand Chinese businessmen and workers were issued visas by Pakistan Embassy in Beijing and its four consulates, last year.

This was stated by Pakistan's Ambassador to China Masood Khalid, while commenting on the inauguration of new visa system by Prime Minister Imran Khan for five countries, including China.

Masood Khalid said the new visa regime is an important initiative, which would attract more tourists and businessmen from across the world.

He expressed the confidence that the number of Chinese tourists would further grow in months to come.

He said the increasing number of tourists from China is a manifestation of the fact that relations between the two countries are growing at a fast pace.
