Development of Balochistan remains govt's top priority- 1st phase of Kachhi canal project in Balochistan being inaugurated today

The first Phase of Kachhi Canal project in Balochistan has been completed at a cost of eighty billion rupees and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will formally inaugurate the project in Dera Bugti.  Kachhi Canal project will irrigate 72 thousand acre of land in Dera Bugti.

Pakistan’s stance endorsed by friendly countries regarding Afghanistan issue- China, Iran, Turkey acknowledge Pakistan’s sacrifices against terrorism: Asif

Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Wednesday said China, Iran and Turkey have acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism during his visit to these countries. These three countries had endorsed the stance of Pakistan regarding Afghanistan issue, he said this while talking to a private news channel. The minister said China, Iran and Turkey agreed that there was no military solution to the problem in Afghanistan, but it should be resolved politically. All countries would help Afghanistan to establish peace, he added. He said it was decided that lasting peace in Afghanistan was important for stability in the region and vowed to continue working together for peace in Afghanistan.

The visit of Foreign Minister to China, Iran and Turkey was of great importance in the backdrop US policy for South Asia. US has baselessly alleged Pakistan to hide its failure in Afghanistan. Pakistan has emphasized that peace in Afghanistan is only possible politically. India is using Afghan soil against Pakistan for its subversive designs.
