"India is trying to hide facts regarding human rights violations in the valley: FO"

Pakistan welcomed United Nation's Human Right Commissioner's request for a visit to Indian Occupied Kashmir to assess human rights situation. Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria appreciated the UN High Commissioner on raising the issue of the use of excessive force by Indian authorities in Indian Occupied Kashmir We strongly support the High Commissioner's position that an OHCHR team should visit Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir to independently investigate the grave human rights violations. Human Rights violations in the valley resulted in the killing of more than 90 civilians and injury of 8000 people. Indian Security forces are using pallet guns against the unarmed Kashmiri protestors for suppressing their demand of freedom. Pakistan has expressed its readiness for the visit of any UN team sent by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to Azad Jammu and Kashmir together with the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
