AJK govt to spend over Rs650m for up-gradation of infrastructure
The AJK government will spend over six hundred fifty million rupees under Local Government and Rural development sector for up-gradation of infrastructure and other basic facilities during current fiscal year.
Official sources told our correspondent, that three thousand four hundred and eighty five projects of improvement of roads, construction of water supply schemes, education institutions, and health and sanitation projects would be completed in rural and remote areas.
A pilot "project for the installation of Solar Energy Street Lights" has also been launched for the Municipal Corporations of Muzaffarabad and Mirpur costing over seventeen million rupees.
The sources said that present government is making all out efforts to provide basic amenities of life to masses in rural and far-flung areas.
