Funeral prayer of PPP leader Jahangir Badar offered in Lahore
President and Prime Minister have expressed condolences on the sad demise of renowned politician Jahangir Badar.
The funeral prayer of Senior Pakistan People's Party leader Jahangir Badar has been offered in Lahore. A large number of people belonging to different walks of life participated in the funeral prayer.
He was passed away due to cardiac arrest in Lahore last night.
According to family sources, he was rushed to a hospital but could not regain health.
He was also a kidney patient.
He became a member National Assembly from Lahore in 1988.
Paying rich tributes to the services of the late politician, the President said the contributions of late Jahangir Badar towards strengthening of democracy in the country would always be remembered. He prayed for the departed soul to rest an eternal peace and tranquility.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his condolence message paid rich tribute to political struggle. He said Jahangir Badar was a great political asset who believed and worked for the promotion of democratic norms in our country.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of PPP leader.
Chairman Pakistan People's Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chairman of the party, Asif Ali Zaradari have also paid rich tribute to political struggle waged by the late PPP leader.
They in their separate messages paid eulogized the political struggle, which he had fought for the promotion of political struggle in the country.
