Evidence regarding Panama Papers case to be submitted in SC: Zafarullah
Says Supreme Court could form a judicial commission to investigate the matter.
Advisor to the Prime Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Zafarullah Khan has said all relevant documentary evidences would be submitted before the Supreme Court (SC) in the Panama Papers case.
In an interview, he said the Supreme Court could form a judicial commission to investigate the matter. Normally the apex court did not investigate cases.
He said the lawyers of Sharif family would follow directions of the court, whether it wanted to form a commission or hear arguments of both sides.
He said the legal team of prime minister was of the view that it could challenge the maintainability of the case before the court, but the prime minister had declined to do so and presented himself for accountability.
He said PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi had filed two petitions against PTI chief Imran Khan and the third one would soon be filed by some other persons.
