China, Turkey agree to strengthen cooperation in security, counter-terrorism
China and Turkey have agreed to strengthen cooperation in security and counter-terrorism.
An understanding to this effect came during a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of "One belt One Road" forum in Beijing on Sunday.
The Chinese President said that developing strategic cooperation was in the interest of both the countries.
In his remarks, Erdogan urged the regional countries to make joint efforts to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
